Dosage instructions
Perspective 1: Feed authority AGES: max. 1% of the feed quantity per day
Perspective 2 from Steinkraft's perspective: 0.5% of the daily food intake is DOGKRAFT. For example, if your dog eats 1 kg of food per day, that's 5 g of DOGKRAFT per day.
The 250g can comes with a spoon for approx. 3g of DOGKRAFT, the 450g can comes with a spoon for approx. 10g.
Viewpoint 3 from the perspective of Steinkraft: approx. 0.2 - 0.4g DOGKRAFT per kg body weight .
a) So, if your dog weighs 5 kg, he probably eats between 200-400 g, depending. Then you add 1-2 g of DOGKRAFT evenly to his dog's food.
b) If your dog eats 400-600g, then you can optimize the dog food with 2-3g of the zeolite powder.
c) If you're feeding 600-1000g, add about half a large scoop of zeolite (included in the 450g container) daily. (Up to the line in the middle of the scoop, it's 5g, and costs 30 cents per day.)
d) If your dog eats between 1kg-1.5kg of food - then you can add 5-7g of DOGKRAFT to the food.

Our zeolite promise to you and your dog
How does zeolite work for dogs?
There are many situations in which a dog's body is challenged – be it due to environmental influences, food quality, or physical exertion. Steinkraft Zeolite – DOGKRAFT – can provide physical support as a 100% pure natural mineral. As a technical additive for feed optimization, it is simply stirred into the daily diet. Here we show you when this can be particularly beneficial:
1. When digestion is not in balance
In cases of loose stools or diarrhea, zeolite can bind excess fluid in the intestines and help stabilize the pH in the digestive tract. A balanced pH creates an environment where beneficial bacteria thrive – and unfavorable conditions for unwanted germs.
2. Preparation for intestinal cleansing
Many veterinarians recommend supporting the gut with zeolite before a planned intestinal cleansing procedure. This can relieve the digestive system, strengthen the intestinal mucosa, and prepare the environment for a new microbiome.
3. During coat change and skin problems
The coat is part of the body's relief system. Especially during the shedding season—usually in spring and fall—zeolite can help reduce internal stress. Many dog owners also report positive experiences with flaky skin or hair loss caused by an unfamiliar diet.
4. Support for the immune system
A well-functioning immune system begins in the gut. Zeolite can help bind harmful substances that can impair the body's defense system—a simple way to support your dog even during challenging times.
5. If tiredness or lethargy is noticeable
A healthy gut contributes to optimal nutrient absorption. If your dog seems tired or listless, zeolite can help improve food utilization and relieve the burden on their metabolism.
6. After medical procedures or treatments
After surgeries, vaccinations, deworming, or medication, the body may contain undesirable substances—including heavy metals. Zeolite can provide support by binding these substances in the intestines and excreting them naturally.
7. When exposed to environmental and urban air pollution
Dogs living in cities are increasingly exposed to exhaust fumes, particulate matter, and other environmental factors. Zeolite can play a valuable role here by binding certain residues in the food and digestive tract.
8. If the feed is contaminated
Not all feed is residue-free. Zeolite can help bind heavy metals like lead, mercury, or cadmium in the digestive tract—as well as mycotoxins produced by mold, which can be found in feed or foraged soil.
9. If there is an unpleasant smell of feces or urine
A balanced metabolism can also influence the odor of feces and urine. Zeolite can help bind excess acids and harmful substances in the digestive tract—for more balanced metabolism.
10. If your dog is prone to allergic reactions
Dogs prone to allergies often benefit from intestinal support. Zeolite can help strengthen the intestinal lining and stabilize internal balance—an important step for dogs with sensitive reactions to the environment or food.
Steinkraft DOGKRAFT Zeolite –
100% pure natural mineral, tribomechanically activated, clear in its action, and free from additives. Simply mix into your dog's food daily – tailored to their weight and life stage.

🐾 Questions about zeolite for dogs and answers FAQs 🐕
♡ What is zeolite for dogs?
DOGKRAFT is 100% natural zeolite, free from extenders or separating agents, and is tribomechanically activated and pulverized to the optimal grain size for dogs – 14µm. This gives the product a high basic energy and purity.
Zeolite was formed millions of years ago when volcanic eruptions caused glowing lava to fall into the sea, causing the water to boil. This boiling lava rock created gas pockets, which created tiny pores in the rock and formed a microporous structure. As a result, this mineral has an infinite number of channels and cavities. These increase the surface area and thus develop enormous binding capacity. Zeolite is essentially an immense sponge and binds pollutants such as ammonia and heavy metals.
Zeolite is a natural mineral rock of volcanic origin— a natural volcanic mineral —and has a high silicon content. This porous tuff rock consists of a crystal lattice structure with cavities. These cavities contain the cations calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium, as well as many other trace elements. Prof. Dr. Karl Hecht, a major zeolite pioneer, speaks of at least 34 minerals.
⭕️ How does zeolite work in dog food?
Due to its large crystalline surface structure and the associated binding effects, clinoptilolite zeolite can have a positive impact on the composition of dog food. The finer the zeolite, the more contaminants it can bind. Dogkraft for dogs is super effective and also sustainable.
An optimized feed can support the regulation of digestion , the supply of natural minerals and the quality of the coat .
🦋 When and why should you optimize dog food with zeolite?
An optimized feed can support the regulation of digestion , the supply of natural minerals and the quality of the coat .
Optimized dog food is particularly recommended after vaccinations, deworming, during transitional phases - when dogs are under stress - during coat change, when they eat a lot from the ground, inhale a lot of exhaust fumes, etc.
General recommendation: Optimize your pet's food twice a year for 6-8 weeks. It's like a treatment. And observe the difference. Optimized food can relieve strain on organs and provide more energy.
Our tip: Leave a gap of 2 hours between taking medication and adding zeolite.
In our blog post, "10 Good Reasons to Enrich Dog Food with Zeolite," we described in detail when zeolite should be added to dog food to support our beloved animals during transitional phases or to establish a daily detox and wellness ritual.
So again, clearly:
When should you improve your dog's food with zeolite? Zeolite in dogs: WHAT FOR?
- When the dog's digestion is not in balance and harmony: that is, when it has diarrhea .
A food optimized with zeolite can help improve a dog's digestion by removing excess fluids and toxins from the intestines, helping to regulate intestinal pH, thereby preventing the growth of pathogenic bacteria, helping to improve the absorption of nutrients from food by improving intestinal permeability, helping to reduce inflammation in the intestines, and improving overall intestinal health.
TIP: Before you start an intestinal cleansing program for your dog, many veterinarians recommend optimizing the dog food with zeolite to prepare the intestines for the new microbiome by eliminating toxins and preparing the intestinal mucosa.
- If the dog's skin and coat health can be improved:
A dog food enhanced with zeolite can help improve a dog's coat by removing pollutants and toxins that would otherwise be excreted through the skin. The coat, as an extension of the skin, acts as a large detoxification surface.
- It can help reduce the smell of dog urine and feces by removing toxins that cause the unpleasant odor.
- When the dog’s immune system needs support:
Zeolite can help strengthen dogs' immune systems by removing harmful substances that weaken them. Simply stir it into their food!
- If the dog is often weak and tired :
It can help improve the performance of dogs by improving the absorption of nutrients from food and keeping the intestines healthy.
It can help improve the overall well-being of dogs by supporting digestion and removing toxins from the body.
- If the dog has been given medication , or has just undergone surgery, or has received vaccinations, or has been dewormed, all of these can lead to the accumulation of heavy metals in the dog's body.
- If the dog lives in the city and walks among the cars and exhaust fumes.
- If your dog's food is contaminated with heavy metals , some studies have shown that zeolite can help remove heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury from dogs' intestines. So add it to your dog's food!
- If the dog food is contaminated with mycotoxins, mycotoxins are produced by mold and make many things difficult. Some dogs also eat things from the ground. Then zeolite definitely belongs in the food. Zeolite binds mycotoxins and expels them from the body.
- If the dog suffers from allergies .
🐕 Is zeolite suitable for wet and dry food?
Yes, suitable for both wet and dry food. With wet food, the powder is easy to stir in. With dry food, you can moisten the powder slightly to ensure it blends well.
For legal reasons, we have to write the maximum daily feed intake specified by law on the label. It's 1%. It can't exceed that. Sometimes that's confusing.
To be clear: DOGKRAFT, the STEINKRAFT zeolite for dogs, is 14 microns fine. Due to its high effective surface area, 0.5% is sufficient.
Example: Our Steinkraft company dog Ezra gets 800g of wet food daily.
At his evening meal, he gets 5g of zeolite powder mixed into his food. This is half a scoop with the measuring spoon included with the 450g can. The scoop has a line down the middle, so you can quickly see where the 5g are, making it easy to measure. This amount is good for the dog.
His coat is beautiful, he's strong and healthy. The vet admired, among other things, his beautiful white teeth during his last visit.
♡ How do I dose Steinkraft zeolite correctly?
0.5% of the daily food intake. For example, if your dog eats 1kg of food per day, that's 5g of zeolite per day.
The 250g can comes with a spoon for approx. 3.5g of zeolite, the 450g can comes with a spoon for approx. 12g.
⭕️ How long should I feed zeolite with it?
General recommendation for feeding zeolite to dogs:
Optimize your pet's food twice a year for 6-8 weeks. It's like a treatment. And observe the difference. Optimized food can relieve strain on organs and provide more energy.
Are there good times for a health cure?
Yes, as a spring detox , definitely. During shedding ( read more about shedding in dogs here>>) , after deworming and injections. Zeolite is effective in removing the byproducts that come with these treatments.
Feed daily?
Yes, for dogs with sensitive digestion and for older dogs.
Dosage instructions>>>
For safety reasons: Leave a gap of 2 hours between medication and adding zeolite.
🐾 Is zeolite suitable for raw food?
Yes, zeolite can be used safely as part of a BARF diet (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) – and is even specifically supplemented by many BARF users.
Zeolite is a natural volcanic rock with a high binding capacity. It can bind certain undesirable substances in the digestive tract, such as ammonium, heavy metals, or decay products, and excrete them with the feces – completely without burdening the organism.
Zeolite can be a valuable support, especially when feeding raw food:
BARF naturally contains a lot of animal proteins, which can lead to higher ammonium levels – zeolite helps to bind this metabolic product.
In some dogs, digestion and stool consistency become significantly more stable with the addition of zeolite.
DOGKRAFT Zeolite contains no chemical additives or fillers, making it ideal for a holistic nutritional concept.
Important: Zeolite should always be offered with sufficient water and should not be given at the same time as medications or other sensitive supplements – an interval of about 2 hours is advisable here.

Feedback from customers who have used STEINKRAFT Zeolite on their dogs

Louise K."A very good product for detoxifying our four-legged friends' bodies. Our breeder recommended this product to us. Our dog had severe reactions after the vaccination (nausea, diarrhea, severe rash), and I'm completely convinced by the Steinkraft Zeolite product . I highly recommend it to everyone! Simply add it to their food."
Shakira"I bought the zeolite powder because a friend recommended it to me. My 12-year-old Husky-German Shepherd mix was slowly changing. He had less appetite , wouldn't eat certain things at all, and was listless. I put it down to old age. After deworming and a subsequent zeolite treatment, my dog is as good as new, and his bad habits have returned."
AJ"Our dog gets his daily dose of Steinkraft zeolite in his food, and has done so since the beginning (for more than five years now). This keeps our darling in excellent shape. The vet is delighted with his stature and teeth at every checkup."
Karina St."My big boy always has problems with his intestines. Diarrhea and strong gas . Since I started adding zeolite powder to his food , his output has been perfect. And the gas has significantly decreased. He now gets it regularly."
Kathi K."My dog has epilepsy and is on special food, which, however, caused her to develop flaky skin and hair loss . Since I optimized her food with DOGKRAFT Zeolite Powder , she's noticeably improved. I mix half a teaspoon of zeolite into her dog food every morning and evening. She accepts it well, and her dandruff is steadily decreasing."
Lilly G."My Labrador, Enie, is getting on in years. She has trouble getting up, and her coat sheds less smoothly than before. I now add a heaped teaspoon of DOGKRAFT Zeolite for dogs to her food. This food, optimized with natural minerals, is working very well for her."
Claudia F."After a canine stroke, our dog was treated with cortisone . As a result, he lost part of his fur. After more than half a year, his fur still wouldn't grow back. By chance, I discovered DOGKRAFT Zeolite for dogs . This food, optimized with zeolite, is doing my dog good. After two weeks, his fur started growing back, and the dog was somehow in a better mood. I simply stir the powder into his wet food, which he eats happily."
Lydia C."After a few days of adding zeolite to their food, I can already say that my dogs are still eating the food (which isn't always the case) and are tolerating the STEINKRAFT zeolite well. I think this is because the powder is really very fine ."
Josephine A."Our dog had dandruff . I added DOGKRAFT Zeolite for dogs to her food. The dandruff has gradually decreased, and my dog's coat was much shinier after just one week . I also notice that she feels much more comfortable and relaxed."
Klaus L."Our three dogs (20-35 kg) now get STEINKRAFT Zeolite in their food. They all tolerated it well, especially the 14-year-old senior . We simply added it to the food in small doses. Our three dogs feel great and haven't tasted any difference."
Klaus with Nuno and Lathi"From previous events in Sportgastein, I was well aware of the problems and changes in my sled dogs' performance, regeneration, and digestion up there. We live a good 1,000 meters lower, and since this was a World Championship spanning two acclimatization and three race days, a solution had to be found to mitigate, or ideally even prevent, the drop in performance caused by the altitude and poorer nutrient utilization.
During my search, I came across Dogkraft Zeolite Powder from Steinkraft . After consulting with them, I decided to use Dogkraft. I started adding the powder to the dog's food a few days before the competition, which gave me the confidence that the dogs would tolerate it well and be able to digest it. During the five days of climbing over 1,600 meters, the stool was dry and firm every time they were dropped, and there were no signs of diarrhea, as is usually the case, causing performance-impairing problems.
To be successful, many pieces of the puzzle are needed. Dogkraft was one of them, and thus we were able to finish the Sled Dog World Championship with a silver medal ."
Laura M."We keep getting diarrhea. At the worst times
