Leopold T., Neustadtl — Dairy cattle
"Since we started using STALLKRAFT bedding, the cell count in our cows has dropped to 70,000. That's very, very low. We used to be consistently at 150-200,000. The risk of mastitis has significantly decreased. We haven't had a single case of mastitis in our barn." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
-
Alois Zehetner Jr., St. Georgen
"We've been using STALLKRAFT bedding with zeolite for 7 years now. And we'll stick with it because we're very happy with the quality." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
-
Annette K. — Pig farming
"The bedding ensures a dry and clean stable environment, which has significantly improved the health and well-being of our pigs. The odor is much less. STALLKRAFT is an indispensable part of our stable care." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
-
Lars D. — Sheep Farming

What STALLKRAFT specifically achieves — an overview of the benefits
Dry cubicles and walkways
STALLKRAFT immediately absorbs moisture, keeping cubicles and walkways permanently dry. Dry floors mean fewer germs, less foul in the foot, less Mortellaro – and less risk of slipping for the animals.
Improved udder health and lower cell counts
Damp bedding is the main cause of mastitis (= udder inflammation). The drier the cubicles, the lower the germ pressure on the udder – and the lower the somatic cell count (= SCC) in the milk. Leopold Tazreiter, Neustadtl/Donau, reduced his cell count from 150,000–200,000 to 70,000. Andreas Ehrenbrandtner from St. Peter/Au has been able to deliver every liter of milk since.
Ammonia binding and better barn air
STALLKRAFT binds ammonia directly at the source – before it escapes into the air and burdens the animals' respiratory tracts. Good barn climate means less stress for the animals and less odor for the surroundings. Neighbors can hang out their laundry again – that's not a marketing slogan, farmers write that to us.
Prevention of Mortellaro and hoof diseases
Dry hooves are healthy hooves. STALLKRAFT in the walking area and as a lime bath after the milking parlor – this is the simplest and most effective measure against Mortellaro (= digital dermatitis, a persistent hoof disease). Herbert Grossauer from Maria Neustift: "Mortellaro no longer exists because we are already liming in the barn too."
Fewer flies and fly larvae
The dry, alkaline environment mechanically inhibits the development of fly larvae. Farmers regularly report: significantly fewer flies in the barn after consistent STALLKRAFT application.
Stress reduction in animals
Less ammonia, cleaner air, dry floors – all of this reduces stress. Less stress means better feed intake, better milk yield, and healthier animals.
High-quality organic soil activator
What begins in the barn ends as valuable fertilizer on the field. The manure enriched with STALLKRAFT contains bound nitrogen which is plant-available when applied to the field – instead of escaping into the air as ammonia beforehand. A circular economy you can truly see.
Organic certified
STALLKRAFT is listed with EasyCert/FiBL and may be used in organic production – according to VO (EU) No. 2018/848.
For which animals and housing systems
STALLKRAFT is for cattle, pig, sheep, and goat farming – on straw floors and slatted floors. Many customers also use the feed mixer wagon: 700 kg of straw, 1,000 kg of STALLKRAFT, and 600 liters of water result in a perfect, uniform bedding mixture.
Our promise to you and your animals
Application - how much litter to use?
Cows and cattle
Cows walking area slatted floor: 200–300 g/m², 1–2x per week
Cows lying area deep litter cubicles: 300–500 g/m² on moist areas, 1–2x per week
Cows lying area high cubicles: 100–200 g/m² daily on the entire surface
Calving and sick pen: 200–300 g/m² after mucking out; re-litter dung mattress once a week
STALLKRAFT should be applied as evenly as possible – this way it unfolds its effect best.
Sheep and Goats
Sheep and goats, deep litter: 200–300 g/m² after mucking out; litter mattress once a week
Pigs
Breeding sows, piglets, and fattening pigs: 100–200 g/m² as needed
Lime wash against Mortellaro
Lime bath for Mortellaro: STALLKRAFT or pure lime in a shallow trough at the milking parlour exit — let cows walk through daily after milking.
Zeolite-Apple Cider Vinegar Paste for Udder Inflammation
Zeolite-Apple Cider Vinegar Paste for Mastitis: Mix STALLKRAFT with organic apple cider vinegar to form a creamy paste, apply to affected udder areas, repeat several times daily.
What farmers say — practical experience
Real experience. Real businesses. Real results.
Andreas Ehrenbrandtner, St. Peter/Au — Dairy Farm
"Thanks to the bedding, the cubicles are dry, and the zeolite is anti-inflammatory and reduces germs. The cleaner and more hygienic, the less germ pressure there is on the udder. The healthier the animals are. And the somatic cell count of the milk is good. The best part is that I can deliver every liter of milk. Because we don't have to cull any animals, milking is much faster." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Herbert Grossauer, Maria Neustift — Cattle Farming
"By adding lime, I save straw in the cubicles. The liquid is absorbed, so I have to use less straw for bedding. It's more hygienic and smells better. Mortellaro is no longer an issue because we also lime in the stable. Those who skimp on quality will pay dearly!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Marion H., Oberndorf — Cattle and Bulls
"When relocating the small bulls, we always had the problem that they got skin diseases. Ringworm or fungal infections with bald patches. Since I've been regularly using STALLKRAFT as bedding, that's gone. The diseases are gone. No more bald spots. And the smell in the stable is much better." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rosner Family, Allhartsberg — Organic Dairy Farm
"We mix TIERKRAFT Zeolite with organic apple cider vinegar to make a paste. It goes on the udder. Works great! Mastitis is a thing of the past." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tobias L. — Direct Marketer
"As a farmer, my goal is not only to be productive but also sustainable. With STALLKRAFT, I can achieve both. Our direct sales customers appreciate the visible commitment to animal welfare and the reduced odor nuisance. This strengthens our farm image and our sales figures." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Birgit E. — Goat Husbandry
"Stallkraft met all our criteria. The improvement in stable hygiene is noticeable, and our goats show greater vitality. We also saw a fellow goat keeper rub her animals with the bedding — we adopted that and now do it too. My ladies love it." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thomas J. — Fattening Farm
"Since we started using STALLKRAFT bedding, we've noticed a significant improvement. Fewer odors, a drier environment, and more satisfied animals. This is reflected not only in the quality of our meat but also in the efficiency of our work. Mucking out is easier. And there are fewer flies in the stable." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
G. — Slurry and Circular Economy
"I like the idea that I already have the lime in the slurry and it's already homogeneously mixed in. The fact that it binds ammonia is great. The work is easier and at the same time more sustainable. That's how it should be." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

How zeolite binds ammonia
Study knowledge
Clinoptilolite zeolite has a cation exchange capacity (= the ability to bind and release positively charged particles) of 150–250 cmol/kg—one of the highest values of all natural minerals. Its internal surface area is immense.
Ammonia is produced in the barn when urea (= main component of animal urine) is broken down by bacteria into ammonium nitrogen (NH₄⁺) and free ammonia (NH₃). Zeolite selectively binds NH₄⁺ in its channels—meaning that the nitrogen remains bound instead of escaping into the air as NH₃.
Sangeetha & Baskar (Agricultural Reviews, 2016) confirm: Zeolite demonstrably reduces NH₃ losses from farm manure—and the bound nitrogen remains in the manure and is fully available to plants when applied to the field.
For the farm, this means: less odor, better air for the animals—and more fertilizing value in the field. Every kilogram of nitrogen that does not escape into the air benefits the plants.

FAQs
Can STALLKRAFT also be eaten by the animals?
Yes — and this often happens quite naturally. STALLKRAFT is high-quality feed lime. When animals lick or ingest the bedding, they do so for a good reason. The organic herbs have a stimulating effect on digestion and well-being. Reinhard P. regularly observes: "The pigs like to pick up the lime from the ground."
Does STALLKRAFT work on slatted floors?
Yes. Zeolite falls through the slats with the manure and continues its work in the slurry. Ammonia is bound in the barn—before it enters the pit and the air. The slurry becomes more homogeneous and easier to spread.
Does STALLKRAFT have a disinfectant effect?
Not in a chemical sense. Conventional disinfectants have a pH value of over 10 and are corrosive – for animals, for soil, for groundwater. STALLKRAFT has a pH value of 7–9 and dries naturally. In this environment, pathogenic bacteria are less likely to multiply – without chemicals, without the risk of corrosion.
Benefits of STALLKRAFT bedding - What exactly does it do?
STALLKRAFT improves odor and barn climate by reducing or binding nitrogen-containing substances, thereby relieving the animals' respiratory tracts.
Reduces animal stress.
Dries walking, barn, and resting areas. A dry environment promotes claw and hoof health, as well as udder health. Less moisture in the barn also means less risk of slipping and more stability for the animals.
STALLKRAFT dries piglet skin and coat.
The bedding reduces the risk of infection. The occurrence of fly larvae and the proliferation of undesirable microorganisms are inhibited, and it is economical to use.
STALLKRAFT transforms manure into a high-quality organic activator for the soil.
How much litter do I need to put in?
That depends on the animal species and housing system — you can find the exact dosage recommendations above. Many farmers report: They need less STALLKRAFT than with other products because the absorbency is so much higher due to the AIR2AIR process.
Can I combine STALLKRAFT with straw?
Yes – and this is even the preferred method for many farms. The Rosner family from Allhartsberg does it like this: 700 kg of straw, 1,000 kg of STALLKRAFT, and 600 liters of water in the feed mixer – and the perfect, consistent bedding mixture is ready.
Is STALLKRAFT suitable for organic farms?
Yes. STALLKRAFT is listed in EasyCert/FiBL and complies with Regulation (EU) No. 2018/848 on organic production.
What happens to the manure from STALLKRAFT stables?
Manure enriched with STALLKRAFT is a high-quality organic soil activator. The bound nitrogen remains in the manure and is fully available to plants when applied to the field — instead of escaping into the air beforehand as ammonia. This is a true circular economy.
What is special about the grinding process - tribomechanical micronization and activation
AIR2AIR Activation Technology is a specially developed micronization process. In this so-called tribomechanical micronization and activation, the product is not ground; instead, the particles collide with each other at high speed and self-compose. This eliminates abrasion (as occurs with ball mills), and the material achieves a high basic energy and purity. This process has no effect on the chemical composition of the raw material. On the contrary, the crystal lattices remain intact and are not crushed, and the electrostatic charge, particle surface area, and ion exchange capacity are optimized and increased.

My neighbors confirm it: no more odor nuisance!
Thomas Groll, Horn, Organic Pig Fattening Farm
When I built a slatted floor barn 15 years ago, which was required for organic farming, we had the problem with the sinking layer in the slurry channel. Then came the problem with the neighbors regarding ammonia odor. As a result, we looked for a solution to get rid of the odor nuisance. Since then, I have been mixing in the slurry lime.
I cut open the BigBag at the bottom, empty the BigBag of slurry lime onto the slats above, and then everything flows out evenly. The trickling in takes about 15 minutes. This is then drawn through by the electric agitator with 4 gears and is immediately mixed.
I am the only livestock farm in the village, 60-70 houses, and 20 years ago there were still 20 farms, now I am the only one with slurry. Compared to conventional corn-pig slurry, mine smells pleasant, say the neighbors. Mine is now harmless, and that is due to the effect of Feldkraft, lime with zeolite.
40 breeding sows and results in 700 finishing places per year. So I have 600m³ of slurry and add 1000kg of lime with zeolite per 100m³ of slurry.
The most important thing for me is the binding of ammonia. The young pigs have more crude protein in their feed, and therefore the slurry smells more. It is important to me that the neighbors are not bothered and that the bound nitrogen gets into the soil.
Every kilo of nitrogen that goes into the air is a lost kilo. I want it to go into the soil. For me as an organic farm, fertilization is the foundation. This circular economy is important to me.
.. and in the feed ration, I also have 1% lime in it.
In the farrowing barn, I now want to try STALLKRAFT. The smell there is more extreme, it is always damp there, and especially in the farrowing unit, barn hygiene is important. I will try this, half the barn with and half the barn without litter.
I supply the straw pigs to Ja natürlich.
