The effect of clinoptilolite zeolite on tumor diseases in dogs:
A study from Zagreb
In veterinary medicine, the search for effective treatment methods for tumor diseases in dogs is of great importance. A promising study was conducted at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb under the direction of Prof. Dr. sc. Ljiljana Bedrica . The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of clinoptilolite zeolite in treating various tumors in dogs. As part of the study , 51 dogs were thoroughly examined and subsequently treated with clinoptilolite.
And all these studies have, among other things, led to clinoptilolite zeolite being approved as a feed additive . Thank you for that!
mammary gland tumors
The treatment of mammary tumors was investigated in 10 female dogs aged 6 to 14 years. Particularly noteworthy results were achieved with adenocarcinomas: Smaller tumors disappeared completely after 3 to 4 weeks of clinoptilolite administration, while larger tumors shrank to half their size after 4 weeks. Mixed mammary carcinomas showed no reduction in size after 3 months but remained stable. One year after removal of these tumors, no signs of relapse were observed.
Skin and mucous membrane tumors
Skin and mucous membrane tumors were treated in 10 dogs aged 6.5 to 13 years. All tumors disappeared after a certain period of clinoptilolite administration, but recurred after discontinuation of the medication. One week after resuming treatment, the tumors regressed again.
Prostate tumors
The study of prostate tumors included 6 dogs. Just one week after the start of clinoptilolite treatment, the symptoms of the disease disappeared completely.
Lymphomas
The effect of clinoptilolite on lymphomas was investigated in 8 dogs. All dogs showed a significant improvement after 3-4 days and were behaving normally again after one week. After one month, their blood counts had also normalized.
Lung tumors
Three dogs were diagnosed with lung tumors. After one month of clinoptilolite treatment, the tumors reduced by half. Two dogs survived for another year, while one dog, which received the medication irregularly, died after three months.
Osteosarcomas
Osteosarcomas were diagnosed in 3 dogs. One dog died two months after diagnosis, while two dogs have been taking clinoptilolite for a year and a half and are still alive.
Various other tumors
In cases involving various other tumors, an improvement in the general condition was observed in all dogs.
Conclusion: Clinoptilolite zeolite - hope for dogs
The results of this study are promising and suggest that clinoptilolite could be an effective adjunct to the treatment of tumors in dogs. While some tumor types disappeared completely or shrank significantly, the dogs' overall health improved in all cases. These findings offer hope and open new perspectives in veterinary oncology.

So: I found this article on ResearchGate. For anyone who likes to read direct quotes. Clinoptilolite zeolite was used, among other things, on 22 dogs suffering from various tumors.
Twenty-two dogs were used in the experiments. They belonged to various breeds and weighed between 3 and 42 kg. The animals were of both sexes and between 5 and 14 years old. The data for the 14 dogs in which an improvement in the condition was observed are presented in Table 2, which can be found on pages 19-21 of the study.
I have translated the ABSTRACT of the study for you:
- "Natural silicate materials, including zeolite clinoptilolite, have demonstrated diverse biological activities and have been successfully used as vaccine adjuvants and for the treatment of diarrhea . We report a novel use of finely ground clinoptilolite as a potential adjuvant in cancer therapy. Treatment of mice and dogs with various tumor types resulted in improved overall health, increased lifespan, and reduced tumor size. Topical application in skin cancer in dogs effectively reduced tumor formation and growth. Toxicology studies in mice and rats showed no adverse effects. In vitro studies demonstrated that finely ground clinoptilolite inhibits protein kinase B (c-Akt), induces the expression of the tumor suppressor proteins p21WAF1/CIP1 and p27KIP1, and blocks cell growth in several cancer cell lines. These data suggest that clinoptilolite treatment could influence cancer growth by attenuating survival signals and Tumor suppressor genes induced in treated cells."

I have a study here by Prof. Dr. sc. Ljiljana Bedrica . It shows how beneficial zeolite is on the skin of dogs after burns and, above all, how a feed optimized with zeolite supports the healing process. All of this was scientifically conducted at the Veterinary Faculty in Zagreb.
VIDEO : Here you can watch Professor Dr. Bedrica , veterinarian and researcher, talk about zeolite. In her native language. For all of you who understand Croatian.
In conclusion: Thanks to the veterinarians and researchers
Our beloved animals are more than just companions – they are an expression of our love for life itself. The groundbreaking study on the effectiveness of clinoptilolite in canine tumors, conducted at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb, gives us and our four-legged friends new hope.
Special thanks are due to the dedicated veterinarians and researchers who made this groundbreaking work possible. Their tireless dedication and deep understanding of our animals' needs have led to these remarkable results.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Timohir Lelas , who prolonged—or rather, created—the tribomechanical milling method for zeolite, or developed prototypes to maturity. And to Prof. Hecht , who patiently and clearly explained to us how zeolite stimulates self-regulation in our animals' bodies. Their insights and dedication have significantly contributed to the recognition of clinoptilolite as a valuable adjunct in the treatment of canine tumors.
This research is a ray of hope for all animal lovers and shows how science and love can go hand in hand to improve the lives of our beloved animals. Thank you to everyone involved, and to clinoptilolite zeolite – for the hope it gives us.
