Welcome to "Tales of the Earth - Books that Inspire Us"
This year, we'll take you on an exciting journey through pages full of inspiration and wisdom. Together, we'll delve into a world where books show us how to live more sustainably, protect our environment, and grow personally in the process. Each book we feature opens a window to new perspectives—from the profound significance of vital soils to the miraculous properties of zeolite. This collection is more than just a reading list; it's a dialogue with stories that inspire us to live more consciously and, together, leave a positive mark on our planet . Join us on this fascinating journey of discovery, where each book opens a new chapter in our understanding of sustainability and personal growth.
This book reminds me of my trip to Serge Kahili King in Kauai, Hawaii. It was a long time ago, but it holds a fond place in my heart of memories. With a maximum of 20 different participants, I learned from him how to practice shamanic thinking and danced in the ocean every morning to greet the day, with the sounds of seashells in my ears.
And I'm just surprised myself: my thesis. I almost forgot. "Psychological Investigation of Shamanic Trance According to Felicitas Goodman ." Even longer ago. Here, I had my subjects sit in the figure of the tattooed jaguar, and after 30 minutes, I measured and compared certain bodily functions and problem-solving skills again, collecting the stories that emerged during the process. All of this happened a long time ago and marked important milestones in my life.
I find much that inspires me in Wolf Dieter Storl's NATURE RITUALS – for example, did you know that Ash Wednesday ashes were used much earlier? And what they're made of? What do you think?
WOLF DIETER STORL , PhD, is a cultural anthropologist and ethnobotanist (nice word, isn't it? I didn't even know that...). He has taught at various universities and conducts ethnographic and ethnobotanical field research.
Wonderful lecture about our origins and Forest Therapy >>

"I'm Fine, If Not Today, Then Tomorrow" is a book by Erika Freeman. In this work, she shares her life story and experiences, both personal and professional. The book provides insights into Freeman's philosophy of life and her views on resilience, hope, and overcoming challenges.
Freeman, who was forced to flee Vienna from the Nazis as a child, weaves her personal experiences with her professional expertise as a psychoanalyst in this book. She reflects on topics such as trauma, loss, and the power of the human psyche to overcome adversity and even thrive. I describe this book as inspiring and encouraging, with a powerful message about the human capacity to recover from difficult times and maintain hope.
"I am the master of my fate.
I am the captain of my soul."
Read it all in one go. It fits well with our annual motto [OPTIMISM AS A DRIVE - THE BEST LIES AHEAD].
