Welcome to "Tales of the Earth - Books that inspire us"
This year, we're taking you on an exciting journey through pages brimming with inspiration and wisdom. Together, we'll delve into a world where books show us how to live more sustainably, protect our environment, and grow personally in the process. Each book we present opens a window to new perspectives—from the profound importance of healthy soils to the wondrous properties of zeolite. This collection is more than just a reading list; it's a dialogue through stories that inspire us to live more consciously and collectively leave a positive impact on our planet . Join us on this fascinating voyage of discovery, where each book opens a new chapter in our understanding of sustainability and personal growth.
This book reminds me of my trip to Kauai, Hawaii, to meet Serge Kahili King . It was so long ago, but it holds a special place in my heart. Along with 20 other participants, each with their own unique background, I learned from him how to practice shamanic thinking and danced the welcoming dance of the day in the ocean every morning, with the sounds of seashells in my ears.
And I'm surprised myself: my diploma thesis. I'd almost forgotten about it. "Psychological Investigation of Shamanic Trance according to Felicitas Goodman ." Even longer ago. In it, I had my subjects assume the role of the tattooed jaguar and, after 30 minutes, measured and compared various bodily functions and problem-solving abilities, collecting the stories that emerged during this time. All a long time ago, and important milestones in my life.
In Wolf Dieter Storl's NATURE RITUALS I find much that inspires me – did you know, for example, that Ash Wednesday ashes were used much earlier? And what they are made of? What do you think?
WOLF DIETER STORL, Mag. Dr.phil., is a cultural anthropologist and ethnobotanist (nice word, isn't it? I didn't know it at all...). He has taught at various universities and conducts ethnographic and ethnobotanical field research.
Wonderful presentation about our origins and Forest Therapy >>

"I'm fine, if not today, then tomorrow" is a book by Erika Freeman. In it, she shares her life story and experiences, both personal and professional. The book offers insights into Freeman's philosophy of life and her views on resilience, hope, and overcoming challenges.
Freeman, who fled Vienna as a child to escape the Nazis, weaves her personal experiences with her professional expertise as a psychoanalyst in this book. She reflects on themes such as trauma, loss, and the power of the human psyche to overcome adversity and even grow. I describe this book as inspiring and encouraging, with a powerful message about humanity's capacity to recover from difficult times and maintain hope.
"I am the master of my fate."
I am the captain of my soul."
I read it in one go. It fits perfectly with our motto for the year [OPTIMISM AS A DRIVING FUNCTION - THE BEST IS AHEAD].
