Pferd und Reiterin im Pferdestall - Tipps für Zeolith

Help, my horse won't eat the zeolite powder!

Zeolite powder for horses is a technological additive for optimizing feed.

Okay. There are five additives. Are you interested? I'll write more about them.

The correct name for zeolite powder is1g568 , and it is approved as a binder and flow agent to reduce the contamination of feed with harmful substances. For all animal species.

Well, it's rare, but sometimes it happens that a horse won't eat this kind of feed additive, or finds it difficult to eat it, if it smells like stone. Actually, it doesn't smell like anything. It tastes like stone.

Sometimes the horse just needs to get used to it.

HORSEKRAFT Zeolite is approved as a feed additive to optimize feed.

AGES, the highest authority responsible for, among other things, feed, stipulates that zeolite must be mixed into feed so that it can develop its full effect as a feed additive – to optimize the feed.
And that's what we recommend: Mix it evenly into the feed.

We know of customers who use zeolite powder on their horses in the following ways:

  • Add to daily feed such as oats and moisten.
  • Start with small amounts so the horse can get used to the smell and taste.
  • Sprinkle into a mash/muesli.
  • Serve warm muesli/mash and stir the powder into the warm muesli.
  • Turn off the water trough and after some time (1-2 hours, until the horse becomes thirsty) add the zeolite powder to a bucket of water (half full and stir well every now and then to distribute the powder).
  • Sprinkle onto hemp or hay pellets and mix/press the powder into it.
  • Sprinkle on the hay and moisten.
  • Switch to HORSEKRAFT Zeolite Pellets PUR .
  • Give zeolite in the form of HORSEKRAFT Aronia Zeolite Pellets . As far as we know, all horses eat them.
  • Grate an apple and mix in the powder. That almost always worked.

We hope there's something in there that you can use.
Some horses are VERY picky :-).
